Drive to Norfork just to eat at Heidi’s! Delicious grilled sandwiches on gourmet breads and a large selection of the most yummy cakes, fried pies and other sweets. It is very difficult to choose my favorite sandwich but if I had to it would be the Rueben and impossible to pick my favorite cake (usually the last one I ate)! View all feedback.
What Roy English doesn't like about Heidi's Ugly Cakes And Sandwich Shop:
It was a tiny place with the stench of cooked bologna. It is what colloquially would be called a greasy spoon. We ordered pastries after being told about their quality. They were not great. The person who told our party about the restaurant thinks decent food comes from a vending machine. So not a shock that it didn’t live up to the hype. View all feedback.
The Dolly reuben was outstanding! The potato salad was just right!! The coconut cake was by far a simple, downright, delicious piece of cake!! Can't wait to try the other sandwiches, especially the burnt bologna, and all the other 10+ cake options!! Service was spot on perfect! She even cut our whole order in half for me and my husband! God bless y'all and your business! Thank you!
I forgot what the pie was I had there the last time it was something unusual, but it was the best pie I had ever had

Was absolutely worth the drive out of the way to go to this shop for lunch!!! We had the special (can't even remember the name of it now) and a patty melt, then ordered an ugly cake and peanut butter pie to go. Every bite was to die for! It smelled so good when she brought it to our table that I actually forgot to stop and take a photo before devouring half of it. It was so filling that we had to take dessert home for another day... Which also was to die for! I recommend the drive out to see Heidi and her shop!
