Ruby Tuesday - Norfolk
Ruby Tuesday
Description
Visiting the Ruby Tuesday location left a lasting negative impression due to poor service and subpar food quality. Customers experienced long wait times for food, lack of utensils, dirty salad bars, and overcooked dishes. With reports of unprofessional staff behavior and hygiene concerns, many diners were left feeling dissatisfied. Despite some standout employees providing excellent service, the overall consensus was to avoid this location. However, the restaurant did receive praise for accommodating food allergies and offering a decent 3-course dinner special. While some enjoyed their meal, others were disappointed in the removal of popular menu items like garlic biscuits. Overall, opinions were mixed, with some patrons vowing never to return while others appreciated the friendly atmosphere and attentive service.

.. This is a location that we have visited a number of times. Tonight they destroyed my opinion of that location as a place to eat. We arrived a little after 7 pm. There were 6 people who appeared to be waiting to be seated. We entered to put our name on the list. I was surprised to see the restaurant had plenty of empty tables. We were seated and given menus but no utensils. We ordered water and coffee for both of us the water came promptly. Coffee a bit later. Still no napkins or utensils We ordered two salad bars, a sampler appetizer and a Hickory Salmon. We went to the salad bar and it was sparsely stocked and not very clean. Returning to the table, we still had no utensils. I waited about 5 minutes and went to the front and asked for them. 10 minutes later we got them. The food arrived a little bit later. The sampler was poorly prepared. The cheese sticks looked like breaded string cheese, the chocked was overcooked. My Hicory Salmon was way overcooked and hard. The rice pilaf was cold and full of clumps of rice. The zucchini was not young tender squash but older fruit that had started to get tough. It was burnt on one side and barely browned on the other. We had to ask for refills on coffee We were not asked about dessert. I asked for a check. It took 5 minutes to arrive. I paid for it with a credit card and asked for a receipt and was told she couldn't give me one. We left without being thanked for visiting. Our waitress gave the appearance of being either new, inexperienced, poorly trained or simply didn't care. I would avoid this location
FRIES WERE BOO-BOO! there was a slight ketchup shortage, but tore my shi up tho xoxo
Stopped by around 545pm. Was told there would be a 25 min wait. When asked with all these empty tables? Was told there were only 3 servers and each had 6 tables and kitchen Was understaffed. This seems to be a constant for this place.
Definitely not what it used to be! Not sure what happened unless new management! This location gives them all a bad name. Yall can do better than this!
Terrible!! Only one star for convenience of location. Nasty utensils and glasses, waitstaff goes outside for smoke breaks and walks right in and handles food...no washing of hands evident. Food is mediocre at best. Several employees could definitely use hygiene improvements! We've gone there many times over the years but we're never going back!! Best recommendation to corporate is to bulldoze it down and start over.
