Big Daddy's Pizza - Elizabeth City

I really enjoy the pizza at this restaurant. The crust is thick and hearty, reminding me of the delicious Chesapeake pizza in Great Bridge, Virginia. My go-to order is the Big Daddy's Special without mushrooms. It reheats well and tastes just as good. I also tried the lasagna and found it to be delicious.

We absolutely love Big Daddy's! Even when the bartender is busy, they always make time for us, which is fantastic. During our last visit, I ordered a sub and my husband got a stromboli. I finished my sub quickly, but we had to wait 20 minutes for his meal. When it finally arrived, it was worth the wait - a huge and impressive portion. However, my husband was a bit disappointed to have waited 30 minutes only to receive his meal. He said it was delicious, but he probably wouldn't order it again due to the long wait. Despite a few minor issues, like not having flat water and the pre-made pizza dough limiting customization options for a veggie pizza, our overall experience at Big Daddy's has been positive. On our last visit, my husband tried the bone-in hot wings and thoroughly enjoyed them. Overall, we have had mostly positive culinary experiences at this restaurant and would recommend it to others.
