Pho 79 - Norfolk
Pho 79
Description
This restaurant offers a range of Vietnamese dishes that evoke both rave reviews and disappointment. While many patrons praise the delicious pho and the professional staff, frequent complaints highlight slow service and discrepancies in menu pricing. Some customers have encountered issues with unexpected charges, leading to frustration and distrust. The ambiance is noted as suitable for intimate gatherings, yet the quality of certain dishes, like fried rice, has drawn criticism. Overall, while there are standout moments of culinary delight, inconsistency in service and value leaves potential diners with cautionary tales.

There are menu items marked as vegetarian. that's probably vegan. I thought the fresh (not fried) veg spring rolls were good, like the Vermicelli shell. I have ordered erroneously blown tea, and it was essentially a glass milk with tapioca pearls on the floor - not like blown things I had before - so deliberate when they are vegan. behind the restaurant there is a parking space that was convenient. overall, yum.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and the staff are professional and kind. We always order the pho (8. Pho Nam, Gân, Sách and lemongrass marinated chicken) and it never disappoints - a perfect 10/10! The Thai iced tea is also delicious.
This is a great spot for pho and there are a ton of boba tea options. I tried the vegetarian pho and the vanilla boba tea. Both were great but I especially loved the frozen boba tea! I’ve never had boba tea that is like a milkshake consistency but it was such a treat
It's hard to give this restaurant less than 5 stars. The food is consistently good and they are able to handle large crowds with ease. The management is top-notch and the cooks are skilled. I have tried other Pho 79 restaurants, but this one is my personal favorite.
