Was Michael Schuett at Nauticus a mag?
Very cool and informative museum. They currently have a video game exhibit that I really enjoyed that has a lot of information as well as retro games that you can play. The ship is also very cool to check out and experience. Highly recommend. View all feedback.
The staff here are wonderfully friendly, and there are plenty of different areas to explore, from an aquarium to a play area, as well as a large theater. There are engaging activities like rope-making and interactive exhibits, plus a solid café and a fantastic gift shop. And let's not forget the ENORMOUS BATTLESHIP you can visit (be sure to check out my separate review on that). This is a fantastic place for both adults and kids, and we would definitely return if we're in the area again. The only downside is parking, as there is no on-site parking for visitors, but there are a few garages just a short walk away. As some other reviews mention, it's a good idea to wear comfortable shoes for all the walking, especially since one of the highlights is the USS Wisconsin, which is just as impressive as you'd expect from a battleship!
I had a fantastic experience at Nauticus! Be prepared for plenty of walking, so wearing comfortable shoes is a must. The exhibits are engaging and highly interactive, especially for kids. There are also cozy little movie rooms where you can watch various documentaries and take a breather from all the walking. The gift shop is lovely, and there’s a cafeteria if you get hungry, though I’d recommend eating before or after your visit to save some money. The staff throughout the museum is incredibly friendly and helpful. As for the Nauticus ship itself, it requires climbing quite a few stairs. While it may not be anything extraordinary, it's a fun experience that adds to your visit.
I had a fantastic experience! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The museum was both enjoyable and thought-provoking, while exploring the battleship was a lot of fun as well. The food was quite good too!
We went for Father’s Day and had a great time. There was a lot to see and do. The Cafè had delicious food. My only complaint is about the restrooms. On the first floor in the women’s restroom, there are two stalls, no changing table, one paper towel dispenser and one soap dispenser. I literally had to wait to use the soap and reach over the other sink to use it. I would think the restrooms would be more family oriented or a little bigger. This lady came in looking for a changing table and had to go somewhere else to change her child’s diaper…
We had a really great time here. The video game exhibit that was going on was super cool.My kids learned a lot about ships and loved all the hands on learning about them. The ship is hard to navigate, but it is really fun to walk through and learn about how the crews lived and what they did. It's put together wonderfully. I truly enjoyed some of the sounds they had going in certain rooms that really made them immersive for us.
