I had half of the Mafaldine di Guanciale (my wife wanted the other half and I couldn't tell the birthday girl no) and you could tell that the pork cheek wasn't the mass produced stuff you'd find at the grocery store; it had a real, tangible flavor that complimented the mafaldini and vegetables perfectly. The wait time was exactly what we expected due to the complexity of each dish on the menu. If you are in the area, you should absolutely give Luce a chance!!! The burrata appetizer is amazing too. Definitely make date night reservations and go! EVERYTHING we ordered was so delicious it brought tears to my eyes. I took videos instead of pictures so I can 't post it, but definitely getthe mussel appetizer, it 's to die for! The lamb chops were heavenly, topped with their home made goat cheese, and I got thepasta dish with aribiatta and smoked salmon and it was soooo incredible and full of flavor, exactly what I was looking for. Ialso ordered the persephone cocktail which was delicious as well. Everything was so amazing. Our server Travis really gave usthe best dinning experience. He knew the menu so well, gave us great recommendations, and I could tell being a server myself hisfocus wasn 't on upselling but giving us suggestions he knew we would like. He recommended a bottle of wine that is now myhusband and I 's favorite, which we joked and said it was us in a wine with the fruit forward flavor but the tobacco aftertaste. Travis really knows his wines and nailed this recommendations on the head for us. If I could give this restaurant 20stars I would. It 's fancy but cozy and small. The atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for to celebrate a late valentinesday. I applaud the chef, the bartender, and our Server Travis. We will be returning as often as we can.
