Great time whenever I visit. The spirit river ride is a good time just poor organization when it comes to seating and calling on for the buffet line. They do a call per the boarding is what they took me but it didn't go that way. I saw people getting called that I boarded before. So I took matter in my own hands after was ignored by the crew. (Food was good and veiw from water awesome) also the ship is renamed. View all feedback.
What Bill Marsh doesn't like about City Cruises Norfolk:
Great cruise but very disappointed that the Capt failed to point out two of the major medical facilities in Norfolk. Instead he pointed out a former shipyard that is now empty. View all feedback.

City Cruises gets 5 stars. They took care of our group of 20 effortlessly, while also hosting a Bridal Party AND Family Reunion. Onboarding was very easy, the service was good and the food was excellent (Assorted salads and bread, summer Roasted vegetables, cheddar scalloped potatoes, Macaroni and cheese, jerk braised pork, salmon, biarrhai (spelling? chicken, prime rib., fresh baked cookies, berry cobbler, brownies, tarts, cheesecake bites (delicious . The sunset views from either part of the boat were amazing! Three levels. Mid level had DJ and dancing, and buffet; third level had adult games. Weather was fantastic! We plan to come back next summer ? ? ???????????
I had a really nice time, enjoyed some tasty food, dancing a great atmosphere.
The brunch cruise is okay. I’m a local and I took my cousin from Jersey to this event to give her the waterside tour and she loved it. Great views, great insight about the Naval Base, and awesome customer service. The buffet was pretty good, very well seasoned food. However, the unlimited mimosas are really 95% orange juice and 5% champagne. You’d get diabetes first before catching a buzz. There is a cocktail/beer menu to order specialty drinks but for $22-$25 for ONE DRINK, that was a hard no.The DJ on board wasn’t bad. This is a very family friendly brunch cruise so don’t expect to get lit. I would definitely recommend this experience to my friends with children and family members.
More like 3.5 rounded up. We took my parents here for a mother's day celebration (not on mother's day). We had a good time. The food was good but be prepared to wait a bit to be invited up to the buffet line. We were right beside the dance floor so the music was a tad overwhelming but the DJ was entertaining. The best part was after the meal going to the top deck!I will say my main complaint was the drink. I ordered what was listed as a $20 drink on the menu, when it arrived at the table it was HUGE in one of the souvenir glasses and at the end of the evening was billed for a $50 drink. Either way it was a good drink and luckily I was with my family so they enjoyed it too. I'd say our waiter was just a little under-experienced.I'd definitely recommend for a one time special occasion event!
