Wonderful experience. I loved the aesthetic inside. Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. When my companion did not like a particular item ordered (based on personal tastes) the manager was quick to come over check in eith us and ask questionsso he could learn what it was she didn't like about the dish. Kudos for caring about your customers!
This restaurant is owned by the same owners as Byrd and Baldwin Bros. Wow, even though the food was fantastic, the ambiance and service are what made this dining experience great. The menu has a good variety of dishes to choose from: different types offish, meats, cran dishes, seafood pastas, etc. The ONLY thing they didn't have was Mussels as an appetizer or entre', but themanager stated he is working on a few additions to the menu; so hopefully that will be one of them. The Georgia Mule is madewith Bourbon and tastes exquisite. The Gin Solstice has floral notes but is not too sweet. The calamari comes with a marinaraand tartar sauce. It has crushed red pepper on top of it so with each bite you get all of the flavors. If you don't want toleave hungry, definitely get the crab-stuffed flounder. It is very filling but super delicious. I don't particularly like crabat all, but this didn't have a normal fishy crab taste. Both the crab and the flounder are thick and meaty tasting. The BourdinRisotto is very cheesy but not overwhelming. The asparagus was also cooked perfectly. Their Grouper filet was hearty withgreat flavor. I also opted for the Malibu Carrots and Broccolini which were both delicious and cooked great. Our server's namewas Ethan who gave top-notch service and focused on the finer details that typically get missed in other restaurants. Cam wasthe General Manager and was viewed making his rounds to check on the tables to see how things were going. We're looking forwardto coming back to try a few more of the menu items!
Since moving into the Hampton Roads, we have been on the search for a seafood restaurant that also had a decent fish selection, aside from the standard issued salmon. This place did not disappoint! The food was well-prepared (fish was not overcooked; easyto eat with a fork). We ordered Snapper and Grouper. The Snapper was paired with broccollini and baby potatoes. The Grouper saton a bed of spinach and plantains; topped off with a cajun tomato sauce. We concluded with the bread pudding. Flavorful andmoist. The ambiance, in addition to the music not being overpowering, was nice too. Definitely a neighborhood gem! Highlyrecommend!
Had an amazing dinner. The stuffed flounder was was amazing, cooked perfectly. The lobster carbonara was creative and so delicious. The Alfredo was creamy and tasty. (Yes I tasted everyone?s food). The strip though not my favorite cut it was cookperfectly. The lobster mashed tasters were like whoa! After tasting everyone?s food I had no room for dessert. However I wasinformed dessert was as wonderful as dinner. I highly recommend.
