We were pleasantly surprised with this place after staying at the dumpy Renaissance Hotel next door... we ordered the great wine “Rinazzo” Syrah which was delicious ! And I’m a total wine snob. Especially for reds. Our waiter was authentically siciliano and the owners as...well. It was a very comfortable setting with familiar but true italian foods. It’s a gem in this neighborhood! What Andi Moe doesn't like about La Tosca:
I'm sorry for this review, but I think the place was full, just because it's very close to the hotel. that was terrible! so this is wifi, btw, but I am not judggen.) I had dinner in many Italian restaurants and that was the worst food I had! please improve! just because it is an old family business, it doesn't mean they can cut the quality! I had eaten better in an almost food place! I hope not to get sick from this... View all feedback.
Very good restaurant near the renaissance hotel. the menu was varied and the food quality was excellent. good wine list. can later in the evening and.
On a first look, la tosca looks like a great dinner waiting to happen. 45 minutes after waiting have not even shown the drinks. 1 hour after ours.
Decent Italian walking distance to the renaissance hotel, nothing to write home.
I noticed this Resturant on the corner from our hotel and wow was it amazing. Family owned and such a wonderful place. So good we went back 2 nights in a row for dinner. I noticed that not only is but many of the same...people walked in and said we are back again! That is the best compliment a Resturant can have. Nice indoor and outdoor seating areas. Eggplant the first night and the veal chops the second night. Very different but both worth of the highest rating. Wait staff was attentive and very nice. Owners were there both nights and active and wonderful personalities. ENJOY
I just moved into this neighborhood, (arag house area) and at the moment I try to find a good Italian restaurant that I often want to go. I had such a one in my former neighbour. from shopping in the inner city I came from the tram and saw la tosca right at the tram my visit last night was therefore a coincidence. the greeting in the restaurant was beautiful, as the waiter who was responsible for me is a very friendly and polite person. so I was very happy with his service. but I missed the brot and usually dip it in an Italian restaurant before they order the food. I said that to the waiter, then he brought me a bruschetta. otherwise the simple pasta arrabbiata was very spicy and tasty- nevertheless too expensive: 14,50€! pity! I'm going back there, I think. that is not affordable.
