Only did a to-go order since my wife was working from home and this was the first time we’ve saw this place. The food was really good and options are available on the serving line. We did a veggie plate and it did not disappoint at all; cannided yams, mac and cheese, and rice broccoli cheese casserole. I came here for lunch because I had a taste for soulfood. Not a good decision at all... I had Baked chicken, Green beans and Mashed potatoes with gravy. Oh my lord!! The chicken was dry and had no flavor what so ever. The Mashed potatoes were box and again no flavor! The green beans were from the can which is fine but add some seasoning to it. I've only been here twice and both times everything was excellent. I look forward to returning soon.
So this morning i wanted some fish and grits for breakfast and the only place close to me to get that is donnie`s country cooking . so i purchased it got home got ready to eat first the grits were so watery if i was gonna eat them i needed a straw, second the fish was cooked to hard and was dry and way too crunchy . to sum it up i was disappointed to recieve this when i wanted this meal so bad . i don`t know if i will ever return to get anything from them . donnie you really need to do better
My 1st ever stopping here, great service, great southern style food. They have a meat plate and a veggie plate. Not bad on the price either.
The food is always GOOD, but the service is different due to change in employees.
Ordered 3 Vegetable platters, charged me for meat platters. even that was more then advertised. Called multiple times . no one picks up the phone At 2.30
