My Wife and I enjoyed 2 meals at Padstows. Both 'Specials' nights.First was two Mains with a bottle of wine for $55 and the second was Mussels, fries and baguette for $25 including a glass of wine. Delicious mussels and heaps of them. The fries were not hot but were immediately replaced with lovely hot fries. The juice was delicious

We came for mussels on Monday - mussels chips and a glass of wine for $25. I have eaten mussels all over Europe and the highlight for me is the harbourside bars of Belgium. This was pretty damn close. There was a choice of 3 ways to have them and I opted for the classic moules mariniere version - simply cooked with white wine, shallots and garlic. The mussels were Australian, not the tough old NZ greenlips, perfectly cooked in the shell. the broth was light and authentic tasting. 2 slices of ciabatta seared with jkust the right amount of garlic butter? The shoestring chips were perfect. The wine was not a nasty house type but a light refreshing Pinot Grigio (or Gris?) matching the meal.My wife just had a chicken breast on a green salad as she didn't fancy mussels tonight - again this was well executed. We liked the distilled or filtered water put on the table - all nice touches. The format is again simple but clever - regular specials on different days. Service friendly and appropriate. For a Monday night Padstows seemed to have the lion's share of the business and rightly so.We'll go back and try something different another night.Well done, bringing your European experiences of what I would call bistro fare to Noosa. I have kept the review at very good to be objective as we only had one course, but I look forward to being further impressed.

We have been to Padstows 2 weeks in a row now, the food is that good. Loved the Asian duck salad , also the prawn and mussel spaghettini. Good value and friendly service.

The restaurant is open-air with a relaxing atmosphere. They have a fresh, seasonal menu that we enjoyed for lunch with our family. The drink selection was also good.

Mad Monday Mussels Night . Great taste
