Loving the Thai cuisine, this is one of the best outside Thailand. If you ever been to the country of the smiles, eating here when closing your easy you'll find yourself back in Chang Mai or Bangkok. Absolutely fabulous View all feedback.
What Sage Nolan doesn't like about L'Elephant Blanc:
The restaurant changed hands. the reception is always nice, the room was slightly transformed and it is good. But I find their kitchen lost it in finesse. the card is the same, it's hearty, always as scented, but it seems to me that the quality of the products and cooking has declined. chicken is less tender, less melting eggplants, and even rice is no longer what it was. Maybe they'll read this and rectify it. I wil... View all feedback.
We tried out this restaurant tonight while on vacation. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Marne la Vallee in the Noisy La Grand area and it is within walking distance (12 minutes). It is a working class neighborhood overall and can seem a bit rougher in the evening at first glance, but stick to the main streets and you’ll be fine. We arrived at about 7:00 pm when they first opened and initially the restaurant was relatively empty. The waiter took his time to help us overcome the language barrier although he spoke very little English and there was no English menu. With some help from google translate we were able to make it work. Our food was freshly prepared, arrived quickly, and was both tasty and filling. I had the green chicken coconut curry which was served with fried rice and my husband had the spicy pad Thai. My kids are picky eaters but they had white rice, some kind of spring rolls, and crispy chicken. It was a bit greasy having just come out of the fryer but my kids and husband didn’t mind. We also ordered a small Fanta, 2 beers, and a very large bottle split of Evian mineral water which we split among us. Altogether the bill came to 70€ plus tip. We were the only English speakers there and the rest of the patrons were local French residents. So while they don’t seem to cater specifically to tourists, they were welcoming and very accommodating. It is a family owned “mom pop” type place and all of the folks working there were very pleasant. The restaurant seemed clean and well cared for so I had no immediate concerns about improper food handling procedures. My only suggestion is to perhaps translate the menu in English to cater for the hotel guests staying in the area. Or even better, create a fully pictorial menu which would work for speakers of any language. Overall, I would not hesitate to return if we ever came back to this area again.
Never did I think I 'd find one of the best Thai food in and around Paris in Noisy le Grand of all places. L 'Éléphant Blanc was really good! We went here for a party, and they custom made vegetarian dishes for us. The staff was really friendly and the food was yummy. We got vegetarian wontons, a papaya salad, red Thai curry, stir fry noodles, and exotic fruits like lychees for dessert (I can 't understand this French custom of having fruits or yoghurt for dessert, although it is healthy, so can 't complain). They serve coffee in the cutest elephant shaped pot. It was one hearty meal and very filling. I absolutely had a great time here! It is located close to the Mairie de Noisy le Grand, which is about 10 15 mins walking from the Noisy le Grand Mont d 'Est RER A station.
A rich decoration of rich and good dishes I love soups and skewers. Our son has chosen an excellent saturated beef!We spend a pleasant time with a view of the preparation in kitchen a reasonable addition and a staff at the school we will return with pleasure.
Succulent dishes!!! after my trip to Thailand I had not eat traditional dishes! Well I found the right address! it's great! more the managers are very welcoming and always good advice for different dishes!! To be recommended!
Lemongrass beef salad, chicken curry, brochettes. all this typical and delicious. friendly reception price in relation to all this, a little expensive but justified by quality. I'll be back.
