Donnie's Pit Stop Grill - Nogal

Wanted to try something new and Donnie's Did not disappoint. We did not have to wait to be seated and the service was good. Our appetizer (fried pickles) did come out with our food which was a little disappointing but they were amazing so it was fine. My husband had the chicken fried steak sandwich and it was delicious. I had a cheddar cheese burger with hatch green chilis and bacon. The burger had the perfect hint of smoke, and the buns were a great touch. And the fries were so good you can tell they were fresh cut! Y'all should definitely give this place a try.

It took 70 minutes from the time we sat down before we got our food. By the time we got it our BBQ was room temperature and the cuts of meat were disgusting. The waitress acted like she was mad that we were there and at the end tried to hide that there was an 18% gratuity added to our ticket. Eat anywhere else of you want quality food or service.Edit: When we arrived you were not busy. You had just opened and we were literally the only table there. Also saying a restaurant will only take large parties when they aren 't busy is not only untrue, but it 's a ridiculous statement. We had to ask for an itemized breakdown to see that there was not only the gratuity fee but also a fee for not using cash which WAS NOT specified anywhere.Additionally, our orders were not correct. A pizza was ordered that had the wrong toppings on it and when we asked about the Mac and cheese the waitress informed us, We made it today so it should be good. I guess our BBQ was made the day before and left out since it was room temperature by the time it made it to our table.I will not dine there again and I encourage people to try anywhere else.

We tried this place for the 1st time today, and we won't be back. The service was okay, but the food was horrible.The fish and chips were nothing to write home about, and the fries were undercooked and too salty. The chicken sandwich was super thin and flavorless, served with undercooked fries of course. The side of mac and cheese tasted like chemicals, and for a $4 side it was tiny. Maybe 2 spoonfuls for an adult.Also, not sure why but all silverware is plastic and no plates are used. The ketchup comes in super tiny cups, too . Why not just bring a bottle to the table like other places?The tables and chairs on the deck were disgusting, too. I would absolutely not recommend this place; it's clear this place is pinching pennies in all the wrong ways.

I can honestly say those are the best Onion rings I’ve ever had..I ate them all

Brady was very welcoming and has the best personality! We got sat right away and for being short staffed our food didn’t take long! She made the place great!
