I was looking for a place that was not far from the highway junction, for a refreshment after hours driving; I found myself casually in a beautifully beautiful farm, with a menu ' of high profile, managed both in the room and in the kitchen by people very competent and professional. Cherry on the cake: they produce craft beer among the best in the South and the possibility of choice is so wide that I had to make an e... View all feedback.
What Michelle Riva doesn't like about Calabrialcubo:
We stayed at the lovely apartments and also visited the Restaurant. The best choices of the Menu were not available and the choices for Kids were poor. All together we were not excited by the meals for this style of Restaurant. Best was the crafted...beer. Again only a couple of the beer menu available. View all feedback.
A fantastic place to visit when they visit the coast of calabria. it is located in the mountains near a small baches with chestnut trees. the farm offers many local products from a very aromatic olive oil to homemade chutneys. they are brewing. a lot of beers from bright ale, ipa, porter and stubborn. in the restaurant we tasted the tartare di mango dry aged and the panino integral con pastrami di tacchino as antipasti and the care of di mai ale con chutney di kiwi and the brash to di mango con cupola pink caramellata. we had an excellent service. we can highly recommend this place.
Large food was awarded with a “Chiocciola” on the Slowfood guide, which corresponds to a Michael star for traditional Italian cuisine of the highest quality. super beautiful rooms; clean, modern, well equipped. that was also a reasonable price.
We stayed 2 nights at this refurbished old mill. It’s a beautiful place just outside Nocera Terinese, a picturesque mountain village. Everything is in a very high standard and modernly refurbished. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming. There is a pool and whirlpool which...we could use for free, it is however on the other side of the town, about a 5min drive from the accommodation. We enjoyed the swim very much. On one of the nights we ate at the restaurant, it was good, but not as mind blowing as I’d have expected, seeing as they advertise it as ‘Alta cucina’. I think we expected more traditional and rustic cuisine this deeply in the Calabrian country. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, especially also the fresh orange juice for breakfast. My fiancé ended up proposing to me there during a romantic candle light picnic outside our room. We are bound to come back at some point.
Found this place on Agriturismo website and was an absolute gem of a place to stay either for a few days or to break your trip up when traveling up Italy as not far off the autostrada. Accommodation is new, spotless and no expense spared....Either stay in rooms by the restaurant and renovated water mill or in duplex flat at farm and enjoy the pool. Great food and local craft beer all from family farm.... really incredibly impressed by friendliness, quality, value and service! Thank you!
Just 30 minutes from Lamezia airport you can find this excellent restaurant. The chef, Luigi Lepore, uses the best ingredients and newest techniques to create marvelous dishes. We were the only people in the restaurant (incredible so he came to us to explain all the...dishes and proposed the beers that they brew in their own brewery. Everybody was very friendly and we had the best price-quality dinner ever. Michelin should come along. You can sleep also in their nice agriturismo, 2km from the restaurant.
