We had been to Aztec in Broadbeach years ago and we were staying in Surfers so we decided to try Montezumas. We were a bit put off by the bad reviews but tried it anyway and I am so glad we did! I was able to order a half serving of the nachos which was perfect for me only $12! We always love coming to Montezumas. The chorizo enchilada is amazing! I like the atmosphere too. I recommend it for anyone travelling or staying on the coast.
Personally, I adore Montezuma's. I realise it's westernised Mexican food but I find myself craving it all the time! The food is yummy and addictive and always comes out hot. It's cheap food so it's easy to keep going back. This particular one has a nice, dim outdoor area for those humid nights. The portions are great and it's a very casual and relaxed vibe in the restaurant.
The day we went has promotion, 2 meins for 1!!! Good deal. We ordered Chicken Mexican and Montezuma Delight! I shared with other girl friend and was enough. Had a big delicious dinner
Tried an enchilada and the nachos, both were very good portion sizes and delicious. Came out hot from the oven, it was rather difficult to wait for the food to cool down a bit before we could dig in. We also tried the sangria which was average tasting. Average service.
Great little venue, very busy.Meals are good size, our eyes were too big for our stomachs and we could not finish the meal. Great staff and service. A good night!
