I felt quiet and free there. we have the whole menu for approx. 4.50 euro per person and it tastes really good (when there on working day lunch menu, it would be more expensive otherwise). they have veggie option every day and a surprise after eating we got watermelon and it was so beautiful. that was my favorite restaurant when studying in Nitra. but now they moved into larger space and unfortunately lost the personal note. Now there are not so many vegan options, but eating is still delicious. they told us that in the middle of the change they crossed their a la carte menu so finger it will be much more diverse with more vegan options.
Beautiful little restaurant with a few good vegan and vegetarian options and very helpful and friendly staff

Svetluska is a bit hidden away in a backyard, but a very nice location. They have a weekly menu with lunch choices (soup and choice of two meals), all in Slovak, but the staff was very friendly and explained everything. Only was soup was vegan as it was, but the other two dishes could be prepared vegan very easily, I was told. I had the soup, which was a clear soup with potato slices, very good, and the salad with cooked broccoli, carrots, greens etc. And some herbal cold drink. Now to be honest, the soup was great, the salad was really nothing special, a bit soggy, and the drink was great again. The overall flair was a bit old-school, but that's fine. Nitra does not have many vegetarian places, and this place is cheap, friendly and totally fine as far as the food is concerned, but maybe not a gourmet place.
I used to love this restaurant when I was studying in Nitra, but since they moved to a larger space, they have lost some of their personal touch. I recently dined there with my mother and found that they had limited options left from the lunch menu and were not offering much from the a la carte menu as they only serve food until 4pm, even though it was only 3pm when we arrived. I remember they used to have an evening menu in the past. There are now fewer vegan options available, but the food is still delicious. They mentioned that they are in the process of changing their a la carte menu, so hopefully, there will be more variety and more vegan options in the future.
