Feedback
Jocko's restaurant in California has received mixed reviews. While some diners experienced disappointment with overcooked steaks and slow service, others praised the food quality and service. Complaints included overcooked steaks, long wait times, and lackluster ambiance. However, positive feedback highlighted excellent steaks, attentive service, and reasonable prices. Despite the mixed opinions, many diners still recommend giving Jocko's a try, especially if you're a fan of delicious steaks in California.
The 20 oz. filet mignon was not properly trimmed. There was grissel on a couple sides of the meat. The meat was unevenly cooked. I ordered Medium but it was cooked well done on the edges and only in the center was there any pink. The rub was concentrated along the edges and very salty. I have had much better filet mignon and experience at this restaurant, in the past!
We come to the Central Coast 3 times a year, this place is always the highlight of our trip. Great food people watching.
The Spencer steak is a house speciality cooked over red oak. A great tasting dinner for a reasonable price
Staff, food and service are excellent. Jockos was pleasantly better than expected. Steak cooked a perfect medium well. Juicy and full off flavor. We sat in the bar area. Wanted to catch the game. It does get busy. Reservation is a must. The onlything I didn't like... the bar patrons were less than desired. Many were rude. I do realize it was the bar portion of therestaurant, but definitely manners and etiquette are missing with most there. Other than that I strongly recommend it, adelicious meal is guaranteed.
I had the beef ribs and a baked potato, and I really enjoyed them! The ribs were meaty and not smothered in BBQ sauce, which I appreciated. They were juicy and had just the right amount of seasoning from the dry rub. Despite it being a super busy Friday night, the food was absolutely worth the wait. I parked my truck in the nearby dirt lot, and there was plenty of space available!
