You can eat delicious vegetables, grains and mushrooms from Iwate prefecture on an iron plate. I thought tofu steak was the most delicious. The chef is a teppanyaki professional with over 30 years of experience. Also pay attention to performance. View all feedback.
Teppanyaki is a Japanese dish that is very popular overseas. You can eat vegan food while watching the best technique with the teppanyaki!
Original Review (March 2022): This is the first time I experienced Vegan Teppanyaki and it was amazing! We sat at the counter, which I recommend so that we could observe how the cook cooked the food. He was also a nice guy and we talked a lot. He is new for vegan cooking, but he is really excited about it and he plans to expand the vegan menu to include new items. He told us that he used separate grills for vegan food and not vegan food to reduce the risk of impurities. He could also tell us what drinks were vegan or not, and which had additives that could not be very healthy. They had vegan Sake from the local brewery, Nanbu Bijin, on the menu. I ordered her Umeshu (Plumwein) it was delicious! This task is done without additives, so it is completely natural. The menu has a variety of vegan options. The cook also said that he can do things that are not on the menu. For example grilled vegetables, etc. I am happy to go back sometime and see how the menu has changed! Update (March 2023): We finally have the chance to go back to Ninohe and try all our favorite vegan foods there again! We were particularly excited to visit Teppanyaki Rai again because the cook Shiga san told us that last year he had developed some new vegan menu items! One of these new options was vegan okonomiyaki! With all kinds of add-ins (different types of vegetables) and without using flour, it is a healthy and tasty version of okonomiyaki! I'll try it at home someday! We also ordered the garlic rice, Peperoncino Pasta and pizza, as last time! Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the pasta! My husband had Nanbu Bijin Umeshu and I had pineapple juice. About halfway through our meal, Shiga san told us that he had developed a vegan dessert, a crepe (without eggs or milk) with vegan ice and anko, with kinako, date syrup and fried goma senbei. It was AMAZING! I've never eaten anything delicious. I've been quite full of Dessert's time, but I could have eaten two more because it was just so good. I absolutely recommend it. I will return as soon as possible Updated by previous review on 2022 03 13
Teppanyaki is one of the most popular restaurants in Japan. With Teppanyaki the cook will cook meat, seafood and vegetables while you watch. Yes, this type of restaurant usually uses animal products. But this place is not a normal Teppanyaki restaurant. Amazingly, we can also enjoy Teppanyaki as a vegan. They cook vegetables and plant-based food before us on the iron grill, just like normal Teppanyaki. It was so exciting for me. Because I've never been able to go to a Teppanyaki restaurant since I got vegan. Your food was really good and creative. I was so excited when I tasted her Senbei sandwich. This food is prepared with Nanbu Senbei, vegetable cheese, rice and wheat glue. It was so amazing. Besides, they were so friendly. For example, they show us what kind of ingredients and spices they use so that I was relieved. I also enjoyed talking to them while preparing our food. I'm sure you can enjoy the food and good conversation in this shop. Updated by previous rating on 2022-03-13
