Carre Jazz - Nîmes

Nice place,(square house) but room giving the impression of suffocation, kitchen that has nothing exceptional (relative quality price ),.service friendly

In the best of the frames you can have: facing the beautiful square house of nimes, the restaurant as elegant as its name lets it under hear extends these high tables and bases in the street accole and on a part close to the square house square. The menu is varied but not too wide: some gourmet salads, fabulous tapas, gourmet dishes and other typical nîmes (gambas à la plancha and its fondue of leeks for me! what happiness). also very good wines and servers who know about it! I highly recommend!

Tourist trap to avoid. Arrived 9pm, and we were finally served at 11.30pm. No apologies, or even attempts to let us know how long it would take. For everything from getting drinks in the bar to getting menus we had to get up and ask the waiter, who seemed to be making an attempt specifically to ignore us. The food was at best average and quite expensive.When we came to pay, we were told to get the bill ourselves inside. When we complained about the service, the owner said it was because they only had 2 waiters. If they can't physically serve people, they shouldn't keep taking customers' money or should use some of the profits they're obviously making to hire more staff. Even then, if any of the staff had actually said sorry at some point then I'd probably not be writing such a negative review. Instead the owner was rude and allowed his friends to insult us when we complained - I'm English and was speaking in French and was told to go back to England.Real shame because the location is fantastic next to the Maison Carré and fortunately the attitudes of the people here are not common in other bars and restaurants around Nimes.

I had a very pleasant time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The dishes are delicious, we have enjoyed it. I'll come back and I'll give you a strong advice.
