You should understand German language because Mr. Heises knowledge of English is limited. Nevertheless the Heise family will do everything to make your visit comfortable. Good vines and different food from the region are really good. Enjoy! View all feedback.

I visited this winery during the days of the open winery in September 2012 and tasted (and bought) some of their wines. The wines were excellent and the man who poured them made a wonderful task to explain the different types in English. He also explained the red slope, a special cultivation area at Nierstein. There is a restaurant on the winery which is open on Friday nights and weekends; it has a view over the vineyards. Easy food, good to combine with the wines. I want to go back!

I visited this Weingut during the Tage der offenen Winzerhofe in September 2012 and tasted (and bought) several of their wines. The wines were excellent and the man who was pouring them did a wonderful job of explaining the different types in English. He also explained the "roten hang," a special growing area near Nierstein. There is a restaurant attached to the Weingut, which is open on Friday evenings and weekends; it has a view over the vineyards. Simple food, to pair well with the wines. I plan to return!
After a detailed walk through the vineyards, Red Hang, you will return to the Gutsschänke. On Sunday the exterior and interior is very well visited. At a friendly atmosphere the wine tastes
