Brazilian national dish was delicious and the mixed steak and sausages and chicken. However the food was cold and service very sloppy. You had to get their attention but they were really nice and kind and happy.

I knew it was meant to be a steak house but normally these places have a salad buffet that is great, and this was no exception. The salad bar also included some traditional hot plates and my husband and I could eat a lot of vegetarian food. The only real problem and the reason why I won 't give it 5 stars is that the entire staff is French and do not speak Portuguese. I know we were in France, but I 've been to Brazilian restaurants in a wide number of countries, Greece, Germany, England, Italy, Czech Republic just to name a few, and in all of them there is a Brazilian representative there, at least to explain the food. As a Brazilian veggie who does not speak French, it was an exercise of trial and error checking if the food had meat or not. There were no banners, no labels and the staff didn 't even understand the word meat . Shame.

The food was amazing; I’ve found it difficult to find authentic brazilian food outside Brazil that’s not just churrasco. They have churrasco here as well, as well as many other things that I’ve not eaten since living there. Apart from the great food, the atmosphere was perfect with a very talented musician playing samba jazz.

When you eat in a restaurant from your own country abroad you never know... read more With a group of 4 friends and a Brazilian friend we tried Sol Maior on Saturday night. When you eat in a restaurant from your own country abroad you never know what you can fall into. I saw Moroccan restaurants held by Chinese or Italian pizzerias held by Induens. You know what? My 5 Brazilian friends and I loved Sol Maior! To the point that my friends, who live in France, Ireland or Italy, said it is the best Brazilian restaurant outside of Brazil where they ate! The welcome (we were finally more people compared to the reservation), the decor, the atmosphere, the dishes and even the MPB (Brazilian folk music) live at the end of the evening: everything was there! Highly recommended, especially if this is the first time you eat Brazilian!
