After eating in many great places in Vi... read more Paloma Cantine offered excellent, fresh seafood, beautiful views of the sunset over the cliff, and a very helpful staff. After eating in many great places in Vieille Ville (Old Town) in Nice we decided to head over to the port and found Paloma Cantine! The staff was very accommodating, spoke enough English for us to be able to understand the menu and order, and they were very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you're looking for a place that is not overcrowded with many tourists. The meal we had here was the best of our trip!

The initial long wait was rewarded by the excellent quality of food. Only the pasta (spaghetti) was a bit overcooked, but not a major issue.Wine list also very wide, based of french options.A special mention to the very attentive service received: the Lady on duty was really nice, always ready to accommodate our requests and knowledgeable about the dishes offered. I really like when the fish is prepared, cleaned and served in front of the guests, operation that she did with professionalism.Make sure to try "Café Gourmet", allowing you to taste small portions of different type of local desserts, together with a nice coffee.I would be back for sure.
