Two of our group bought the... read more We went to this small restaurant 2 mornings during our stay in Nice. The owner was friendly, and the food was inexpensive and tasty. Two of our group bought the breakfast special for less than 3 euros which included a croissant, a noisette, and an orange juice...and I enjoyed a cafe au lait, and a croissant. Locals were chatting away in French, and though we were trying hard indeed to use our limited french to communicate, I was delighted when the owner let me know that my answer of seulement for 'I only want to pay for me ' was actually conveying that I was incredulous at the pricing....I should have said Juste pour moi....which I did indeed the following morning much to all of our delight! My husband also got a crepe to go the next morning and the owner worked the bill around the timing for the crepe to be at it 's hottest. It was nice to go somewhere and feel invested in, and to find someone patient with my weak, but ever improving french speaking skills. It 's why we returned the following day who knows what new tidbits we might gain! Oh and in case I forgot though the experience was Lovely...the food was also yummy very flaky croissants...but for me, it was the conversation that brought us back as well! Thank you Mayame! First of only waited quick notella crepe and coffe... read more I had the worst experience ever in my travel history at this cafe. The waitress (owner) is unbelievably rude. First of only waited quick notella crepe and coffee. Food was average, coffee was below average. The price is higher than most of other cafes. However, the owner was so rude with the way he talked to us, the way he gave us the food and when paid him. We didn't feel welcome at all, it was very upsetting and shameful. I get it, at Nice, you don't expect the best customer service. But at this cafe it was really the worst experince you can have. Don't go to this cafe, there a lot better alternatives that are better and will not make you feel humiliated.
