We ordered some fondues, including the burgundy and savoyard, which were served with a ratatouille, some fries and many dips. Although they are not really summer dishes, they were really delicious and perfectly served. Besides the excellent cuisine, the service is also remarkable, perhaps not that of a starred restaurant, but the waiters are very friendly and have let you breathe the true atmosphere of the old city, away from the luxury of the more expensive places. we recommend the menu for two people (28 euros room) which includes: two fondues, accompaniments, wine and dessert and you rasasie !

The famil... read more One of Nice's under-appreciated culinary gems. The upstairs is cramped and tiny, but don't let that put you off... The real dining room is downstairs. The family who run it and cook everything are justifiably proud of what they serve up, which was varied and delicious without qualifications. Even the sides were terrific. The coleslaw (no mayo, but just a hint of scotch bonnet and fresh ginger) was my favorite, but we shared dishes and couldn't find a weak link. We'll be back. Yes, there's lots of great French and Italian food in Nice, but variety is the spice of life, and there's plenty of both (variety and spice) at this place. They're pretty good with English too, which can be an issue at smaller restaurants that don't just cater to tourists.
