L'Auberge de Theo - Nice

A bit kitschy restaurant with exceptional friendly service by young and good looking waitresses. You can eat better in France but the portions are huge, the prices low and the ambiance welcoming. It was recommended to us as one of Nice's best which is not the case but its very pleasant anyway. if you want decent food at moderate prices and good service : This is the place.

The food was good and the service was excellent - 4/5 stars simply on price as we felt we didn't get much for our money. After reading all the reviews here it was as expected - worth a visit but you could easily spend £100+ with wine for two people (what we would consider a special occasion meal and not a weekday treat!). Classic French food with above average service, small menu means they emphasise quality over quantity. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

Very comforting atmosphere for tourists. Friendly staff and owner, absolutely delicious food - cool place, roof was open which let in the night air. Definitely recommended.

We were staying nearby and decided to pop in for dinner. We split a pizza and tiramisu (portion sizes are perfect for splitting between two - we left happily full). Reasonably priced (25 euro for pizza, tiramisu and 2 coffees). The service was friendly and great atmosphere. Great authentic Italian food. If you want to get away from downtown Nice for the evening suggest you go here - take the number 15 bus from Nice. Easy as. We went at about 7:45 and quickly got a table, started to really fill up about 8:30pm.
