What Panda2022 doesn't like about La Pizza Du Cours:
PLEASE READ I sat down with my friend and ordered oysters, paella and two mojitos.. mojitos arrive and they were NOT good! So we send them back and ask to change them.. they do, but bring them right back out worst than before! At which point we receive the paella which was also not good so we just ask to pay for the oysters that we ate and at that point I WAS ATTACKED by the owner who wanted us to pay for mojitos too... I went to get dinner at La Pizza Du Cours on 10/16/18. The menu looked appealing so I gave it a try. The escargot was fine but its the same everywhere in France. The owner tried to clamp my hand with the escargo holder, wtf? The carbonara pasta was absolute garbage. The creme sauce was disgusting! What made matters worse was the owner. He brought out my plate of escargot and then went to other tables with it and came back 5 min later to give it to me. Maybe he liked to joke around I thought? Ok. While waiting for my main course, I was doing work on my computer. The owner actually took a close pin and attached it to my ear and it stung. I didn't think it was funny but he did! I got the last laugh however. I told the waiter that the pasta was frozen. They looked at me strange and another waiter came over and told me it was not fresh pasta. Then the owner came out and threw an ashtray in front of me and demanded tips for the service provided, which was none. I laughed at him, didn't comply to his wishes, paid and left. I have never been so insulted in my life at a restaurant. If I ever see that jerk again, he's getting a blackeye!
The location is nice but the food is bland and the staff is arrogant and rude, sometimes disrespectful. They don´t treat you well if you don´t order enough. There are many restaurants on Cours de Saleya so why spend your money here.
I don't like to write poor reviews but this restaurant so was poor I had to. The food was actually ok but the service was awful. I was ignored for the whole of my time there. Anytime I wanted something I had to catch a waiters eye which was not easy. I had to ask for bread 3 times. I was given water but no glass. I was given the wrong meal and the waiter tried to say it was my fault. I was going to have dessert but he never returned to ask so I didn't bother. At the end I asked another waiter for the bill as mine was still ignoring me and he told me to ask my waiter at which point I'm afraid I told them just how unhappy I was. Instead of apologising he went to get my waiter who defended himself by saying he was busy. I never don't leave a tip but in this case it could not be justified so I'm afraid I did not leave one. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant is one of disorganisation, stress and staff shouting at each other. Not what you want for an evening meal. Avoid this place. Do not give it your time or money.
On our final evening on Cote D’Azure we had an early evening flight out of Nice and needed to eat at around 18.00.....a restaurant offering Nice specialities sounded great so we sat down and ordered Salad Niscoise and Moules Frites. The food was very disappointing....salad consisted of lots of wet lettuce and the mussels were tiny, tough and dry. Both were served by a waiter who could not be less interested in dealing with customers. This was a very dispiriting experience, a hugely disappointing end to our vacation....and a poor reflection on Nice.

We enjoyed our first visit so much that we had dinner hear again on our last night in Nice. Again we received a warm welcome and a complimentary glass of Prosecco the restaurant was busy and dinner lived up to expectations. Thank you to all the staff.
