Caffe Vergnano 1882 - Nice

Nice list of coffees, especially if you like (like me) chantilly cream. Nice list of cocktails and fine service. It is a pity that the main coffee machine is shut down early in the night!

It was the late afternoon of a June weekend. And as I strolled thru the street I needed a place to recharge while my wife did some shopping. This was a perfect spot to let some time pass.

It is great to enjoy an absolute amazing package( the lovely coffee, the fresh Juices and the out of oven backed croissants and pastries).What else you an look for when you want to have a lovely breakfast at the french Riviera (Nice Cote D'azur).Definitely a MOST VISIT place when in Nice.

Good to find some great coffee at Nice, when in most places you get the average... Service was very friendly and warm despite cold spring morning.

As an Australian coffee tragic the only slightly negative thing about a holiday in France is the coffee - everything else is outstanding.Caffe Vergnano 1882 serves up coffee that is equivalent to that served at very good cafes in Australia - the barista knows his stuff.I like (an Australian) flat white which is pretty difficult to find in France and then there is the difficulty of knowing what it would be called.On explaining what I liked the barista knew exactly what I was talking about - ask for a cafe creme. We enjoyed coffee, baguette, beer and more coffee whilst people watching on the busy street where this cafe is located. A good coffee was really appreciated after two and a half weeks of pretty mediocre caffeine fixes!
