She makes everything herself, changes the fares everyday, and always welcomes you with a smile. Very far from the patronizing and interested attitude you will find in many places in Old Town. One of the only places I know where having lunch alone is not a bore. Sit on the terrace and relish the taste of traditional French food, while watching people walk by.
Very cozy little restaurant and not expensive to eat. You can choose between 2 menu's and that's it. But the food was very good. Christine is a very social, friendly and funny woman. You felt right at home.
In the lively rue Bonaparte off the Place Garibaldi, this tiny restaurant seems popular with locals who are attracted by the simple home cooking and the warm welcome of the vivacious owner. The restaurant has seating inside for a dozen or so with fewer at tables on the pavement outside and offers a limited choice of main courses from the blackbaord(two on our visit) with an appetiser or soup offered on arrival and a small selection of home-made desserts to follow. There is a small selection of wines and aperitifs.Meals are good value and enjoyable. Note: cash only.
Really lovely French bistro in Vieille Nice.
