The service at Billy Bones BBQ was very disappointing. I initially spoke to a waitress who assured me there would be no wait for a quick meal. After checking out another restaurant with a long wait, we decided to return to Billy Bones. However, when we approached a different waiter about getting a table, we were told to wait fifteen minutes, despite the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty both inside and out. Nobody had arrived since our first conversation with the waitress. This was completely unacceptable. The heavier-set waiter in the orange shirt insisted on the fifteen-minute wait, and it felt like we were being misled. Overall, this experience was frustrating, and I would not recommend this place—it’s just not worth the time.

I'll be quick. As someone from the South who knows real barbecue, this wasn’t up to par. I had the pulled pork, and it lacked any flavor or seasoning—completely bland. It was like eating a plain meat sandwich. The fries were hot and delicious, but that’s the only highlight. It satisfied a craving, but overall, it was overpriced.

I visited Billy Bones BBQ last night, having seen them perform at Ribfest several times—something I unfortunately missed this year. The full rack of ribs was generously sized, bursting with flavor, and definitely too much to finish in one meal. The cornbread was exactly as expected: tasty and comforting. I also tried the baked beans, which I really enjoyed. The portions are so large that I’ll be enjoying leftovers for days! On top of that, my server was outstanding; he took the time to chat with me and made me feel at ease, even though I was just picking up takeout. His recommendation of the baked beans was spot on!

I decided to try Billy Bones at the Scarborough Rib Fest in Toronto because it had the shortest line, and now I think I understand why. The beef ribs were good, and the cornbread was tasty, but the pork was just okay. Unfortunately, the brisket was overcooked and resembled jerky, while the chicken was extremely dry. It's disappointing to have such an experience, especially when we look forward to this event. We had a difficult time finding parking, had to stand in line twice to enter, and had to wait again for food, only to end up with disappointing dishes. I also ordered two servings of coleslaw and beans, but I'm not sure if I actually received both orders. The coleslaw tasted nothing like coleslaw—please refer to the attached picture. I'm left wondering how your establishment has managed to earn all those awards.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant while exploring the area. The barbecue is outstanding! We shared brisket and ribs, and I enjoyed every bite with my wonderful wife. Our server, Sean, was very attentive and did an excellent job. Although it’s not the most budget-friendly option, it was absolutely worth it for a meal during our vacation! We will certainly return on our next trip!
