We took the dogs for a morning walk and stopped here for breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful, there are tables on the walkway where we can sit with our dogs. The Mocha was okay, but the breakfast sandwich was wonderful. Prepared to order egg, bacon, cheese and spinach on a sourdough bread. Best bacon we had in Australia, crispy and tasteful. A good place for breakfast, we'll be back. View all feedback.
What Name Daniel doesn't like about The Newtown Provedore:
DYING EVERY DAY. Guy who works there needs a personality; girls seem friendly enough; food expensive and boring; deli section is an embarrassment.. Don't recommend to anyone for ANYTHING.....much better places around View all feedback.
Try the Newtown Providore for breakfast or lunch. From fresh fruit bag to a big breakup. The food is fresh and delicious. They also make homemade soups in the cold months and fresh salads in the summer. Buy fresh products and foods treated by small independent suppliers.
This cafe has been taken over by a new owner since the previous reviews (in 2017). There was a refurb last year to change the layout with an expanded kitchen so they can do more food in house. I have found the coffee has been consistently good every time and the service staff are friendly. The coffee is cheaper than anywhere on this end of the street (it has gone up a bit recently) and generally this is a good value for money place compared with the more expensive cafes and restaurants nearby.<br/ <br/ The raw vegetable salad is great and can't go wrong with the toasted turkish. The interior has a relaxed buzz with decent background music. I like the outside pavement section when warm since there are tables under the tree shade, good for getting the Pako vibe.
So much potential.... I've been going to this deli for many years , and have always liked it. It seems to, however, have gone down hill over recent years which is a shame because the place has so much potential. You used to be able to go there and know you could come out with all the ingredients for a great dinner you'd pay for it, but that's what happens in these little boutique places and customers accept that for convenience. Now the place just looks half done and a bit sad. The owners (I believe they're new) really need to tap into a need in the area delicious, gourmet produce that's reliable. Many of us need a place after a long day at work that we can duck into and know that we'll come out with something tasty, quick and easy. It's not rocket science, is it???!!! I'm not going to vote that I don't like the place just yet, but sadly, like a lot of other folks about... I'm heading that way.
Big range of fresh brunch and lunch food and of course great coffee. Welcoming and friendly staff makes every visit great!
I come here regularly. The staff are always professional, friendly and helpful, the coffee is great and every menu item I've tried has been delicious. The music is always good and chill.
