Third time here. I like the menu. Scallops were just ok. Short rib Special was outstanding. Service very good. Friday night big bar scene. Great for them. Makes dining on Friday night a little difficult. Once the band started, we could hardly talk. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Thyme And Grill:
the communication was missing from the waiting staff. I asked for our dinner selection before we ask if we want a drink. the appetizer was burned at the edges. the side of the fries ordered; the teller of dinner came stacked with a tonne pommes. crab cakes were lost in the presentation. crab cakes tasted delicious. corn salsa was excellent. The food was good. The service was marginal and the hostess was terrible. Like they're doing us a favor. When we go to eat, especially in a non-cheap restaurant, expectations for food and service are better than moderate.
We liked the waitress, but we had a reservation at 6:45 and did not get our meal served until 8pm. I asked the waitress at 7:45 what was going on and she checked and came back to apologize and said they were very busy. We saw many open tables so that just didn't make sense. My scallops were excellent. The jambalaya was not very good and my son barely ate any of it. I told them he didn't like it, but they did not attempt to do anything about it. That, coupled with the extremely long wait made our experience not so great. Won't go back.
Foid was excellent would definitely recommend it. Hope to be back soon ..
My wife and I dine out quite a bit. Every now and then we have an underwhelming meal, but I generally don 't feel the need to leave a negative review. But for this meal, I felt I need to. The prices at Thyme are far above average for the region $32 for the average entree here. For appetizer, I ordered mushroom and brie bisque . I received a bowl of pureed mushrooms with a tiny slice of brie plopped on top. This was not a bisque by any means at all. For entree, I ordered beef burgundy in bread bowl . I received beef in a light brown broth as thin as chicken soup, with a roll placed in the middle of the broth. Nothing was inside the bread, like a bread bowl. There was no trace of wine at all, the beef was not stewed, and the sauce was not thick as it should be. This was absolutely NOT beef burgundy by any means imaginable. The worst part is that the only taste from this dish was the soggy bread. My wife ordered scallops with crawfish risotto. This dish WAS what it claimed to be, but was terribly underwhelming in flavor. The scallops were fishy and overcooked. The risotto was lumpy and dry and also fishy. The ambiance was ok, but the place was VERY brightly lit. Overall, I definitely do not recommend Thyme. There are very many gems in Bucks County, this is not one of them.
Second visit and unfortunately the Food was just average. They didn’t deliver the right burger nor at the right temperature. The mussels were not as good as last time. Nice place but food is average at best
