Was jackie bishop at Highlander a mag?
For breakfast, cereals and fruit were available for self-service, while full Scottish breakfasts, along with toast, tea, and coffee, were served at the table. The three-course evening meals were also served to our table, offering a wide selection of starters, main courses, and desserts, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely consider staying there again. View all feedback.
What Nathan Henstock dislikes about Highlander:
Staff are friendly, hotel is slightly on the older side but much nicer than similarly priced hotels in this part of Scotland. It's kept fantastically clean which is a bonus. Staff are friendly, hotel is slightly on the older side but much nicer than similarly priced hotels in this part of Scotland. It's kept fantastically clean which is a bonus. Bed was nice but my lack of sleep came from the noise. I've never stayed somwhere with such thin walls. I stay in hotels nearly every single week for work and this is honestly the noisiest. I'm writing this at 5.51am after having been woken up by next doors alarm. I have been able to hear people in other rooms click they're lights on and off. I can hear very clearly any conversation in rooms adjacent and I can hear people coughing from down the corridor. I'm not being dramatic or exadurating as I say I stay in these sorts of places every week. I simply don't understand how a place can be built with such thin walls!!
Not to my liking. Hotel room not too tidy and clean. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Quiet
Stayed for work purposes Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
Came as part of a guided tour. Staff did not seem prepared to serve a large influx of people. The boilers circuit kept tripping and it could not stay on to provide hot water. The beds were terribly hard. Very dated building with cracked tiles, chipped paint, sticky/dingy carpets. Staff was friendly but seemed undertrained/understaffed. Cups were dirty, all vegetables were canned/frozen for meals. Juice was served warm. Toast was served cold. Any requests such as water/ice/coffee took forever. The only people there were from guided tours. Maybe that is a sign.
Hôtel agréable. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Quiet
