Contribute FeedbackThe Star is a proper local pub where the bar is full of friendly locals and staff. The restaurant area offers a peaceful atmosphere with excellent food and short waiting times. The warm and inviting atmosphere, along with attentive staff and well-kept ales, make for a great dining experience. Celebrations are made special with personalized touches, and the quality and presentation of the meals are top-notch. With ample parking on site and welcoming vibes, The Star is worth a visit, even if you have to travel miles to experience it.
Great service and very nice food, lovely pub and outstanding outdoor seating areas
The food at this restaurant is excellent! Even the peas on my Gammon Eggs were outstanding. The Mad Goose, Jail Ale, and Doom Bar ales were all kept well. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. There was even a live band playing outside. What more could you ask for on a Friday night? I highly recommend visiting or revisiting this place (this was my second visit in a week).
First time at The Star. Was really impressed with the quality and presentation of the meals. Reasonably priced also. There are also a good amount of parking spaces on site.
Enjoyed our meals. Good value choice on the lunch deal. Owners made us very welcome.
This is one of the most welcoming pubs we have ever been to. Everything was perfect and we were made to feel right at home by the staff and the locals. We traveled 30 miles just to dine and drink here, and it's not the first time we've made the journey.
