Western Steer - Newton

Thank you to Lisa and the rest of the staff at Western Steer in Newton, NC! We have used them to cater our holiday meals for many years. The food is always delicious and the customer service is top notch. Keep up the great work!

We finally visited the restaurant after always passing by. The only thing the restaurant has going for itself is the friendly staff. The cooks need to be sent to culinary school. Please someone, teach them how to cook! The ribs were dry, the meatloaf just crumbled apart on your plate and tasted like cardboard. The chicken was just ok. The rolls were good because I guess you can't mess up already pre-made rolls by just heating them up in the oven. The white cabbage was God awful! Who puts sugar in the white cabbage? Only people that can't cook. Gordon Ramsey would have had a field day.

The service was incredible and the food was delicious. We dined in for dinner and the price per person was between $10 and $20.

This restaurant was a disappointment. There wasn't much variety in the food selection. I ordered chicken that was undercooked and the pork had a piece of chicken in it. I do not recommend this place. The service was average. The atmosphere was okay. The price per person was $10-20. I would not go back. Recommended dish: Build Your Own Salad.
