Tartufo - Newton

We were in town for my son's birthday and he chose Tartufo for dinner. He had not been there and wanted to try it. Well, we were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was on point, from the food to the drinks to the service. All first class.

Used to dine at Tartufo’s a few times per month pre pandemic.Returned last nite.Definitely not the same:2 of my previously favorite dishes were bland (grilled calamari and Orecchiette)Wrong order delivered to the table. When my wife said “this isn’t mine” waitress responded I know but no apology.Upstairs atmosphere feels like a function room unlike downstairs seating.Much better value/atmosphere/service at Vinotta in Waltham or Davio’s in Chestnut Hill.

Came for a valentines dinner and it was DIVINE. Grateful for delicious food from start to finish and lovely, thoughtful service.

The food tasted good but the ratios were horrendous. Kid-friendliness: The portions were sized for a kid.
