Went there for the 2nd time with my boyfriend as a belated valentines day date, and everything was still exceptional. The power went out about 10 minutes after we had arrived and our waiter was very kind to us and kept us well informed about the situation. After about a 30 minute delay due to lack of power the lights came back on, and we were able to order our food and enjoy the rest of our evening. Thank you so much... View all feedback.

Pity , our primary server didn't understand how to relate to customers. All in all, an attractive room with poor acoustics, inconsistent service, and dishes that ranged from inspired to mediocre.

Thank you so much to all the staff and cooks who stayed open a little after closing time to finish out service. We are very grateful and will be back.
I was very excited to try out Mida after hearing such good things and reading so many over the top reviews. I have to wonder if I accidentally went to the wrong restaurant. The place I went to was overly expensive, overly rushed, and underwhelming otherwise. We went early at 5pm, and they were clearly trying to turn the table. We sat down, had drinks, bread, another tables salads that were accidentally served to us, starters, a meal, and dessert in approximately 30 minutes. We were asked if we wanted to clear the table while we still had salad and appetizers so they could serve the dishes, one of which defied all restaurant logic and was hardly even warm. I said yes because at this point, I was already annoyed, and their bland Caesar salad tasted like they forgot the Caesar.Their pizza was trash. Bland, flavorless, and forgettable. The braised pork taglatelle was cold watery mushroom soup with noodles, thought he pork was hot and delicious. The $28 braised short rib lasagna (should be half the price) was bland, dry, and had none of the melty cheese fun of a lasgna. Tasted like it was made yesterday and warmed up several times since. The real kick to the nuts was the non-optional hidden 2% Kitchen Appreciation line item in the receipt. Apparently they didnt care that I did not appreciate the kitchen. At the end of the night, this felt more like a scam than a relaxing cozy dinner. And yet, they are always packed... so what do I know?
I ordered carbonara. It was loaded with pepper, and I think garlic, not a very good carbonara at all. Any Italian restaurant should know it’s very little pepper in a carbonara. It’s a simple dish. Weak
I visited the MIDA-Newton restaurant location on Saturday, February 17th with my significant other as a means to celebrate his birthday (Feb 15th). I had the Short Rib Lasagna and my significant other had the Roasted Chicken with Risotto. The food was incredibly delicious, the waitstaff were very pleasant, and kind and the desserts were amazing! While I know my partner doesn 't like to celebrate his bday, I decided to 'bust his chops ' and request the waitstaff bring his dessert and sing Happy Birthday to him . To my surprise, my significant other got down on one knee and proposed to me at the restaurant in front of everyone. I didn 't know that MIDA-Newton would partake in my (now fiancé 's) surprised proposal. Not to mention, the extra cinnamon balls they brought out as a treat were wonderful! MIDA-Newton is the perfect spot to enjoy a wonderful meal and make memories. Thank you to the staff at MIDA as well as the lovely group sitting across from us who done a random act of kindness by covering our bill. I am incredibly blessed and my heart is overwhelmed with joy. Thank you to everyone who showed love to me and my fiancé yesterday.
