Daniel, our server, was friendly, attentive, and generous. He offered me a taste of their French rosé, which turned out to be the most delicious and well-balanced wine I've ever had. It combined the rich flavors of a syrupy, fruity yet tart rosé with the light, refreshing mouthfeel of pure water. I returned on December 15, and the rosé was just as incredible.
However, be cautious if you're thinking of bringing a bot... View all feedback.
What Jonathan R doesn't like about Wine Galley:
By far the rowdiest, most raucous wine bar I've ever set foot into. The type of of place you have to yell to have a conversation. We were there to help celebrate a friends birthday, I heard a rumor that this place was going out of business. They had hundreds of empty wine bottles all over the drink rails and counters. My friend and I checked this place out last night. I was immediately impressed after walking in. It is way cuter than most wine store meets wine tasting bar spots. We got there early thinking it closed at 8 so we had a great seat. The wait staff was very attentive (checking in often) and the choice of food was amazing. The place was packed by the time we left at 8:45 for a dinner reservation. When we passed by later after dinner, it was very busy. We will definitely go back and stay longer next time. The wine selection for wines to purchase was great and a variety was offered. Great atmosphere!
Had a super fun Friday evening here w my Bestie and Sister! Adorable ambiance, gracious service and delicious wine and snacks! Reggae and R&B wafting from the speakers created just the right tone for relaxing into the weekend and the lighting was just right for romance... We ordered a bottle of Rosé and got to taste the California and the French so we could choose what we liked... Ended up agreeing on the French, though both were well crafted and delicious! Enjoyed sharing the delicious Mushroom Crostini w Goat Cheese and got the Yelp deal for checking in which made the whole experience so much cooler! Best to get here early as they fill up by 6ish and the corner table by the window is def the most coveted spot in the house! Located w/in easy strolling distance to CDM state beach if you are looking to cap your experience by catching a sunset! Cheers!
Came here for a bachelorette party with a good sized group. The inside is very cool...lots of wood and stone. Even though you're right off the main drag in Corona del Mar, it feels very intimate. They have an actual bar on the inside with a TV and tables around it (with a giant wine room too). Jeff couldn't have been a better host to us 11 crazy girls. He gave us more than enough pours (which were all delicious), some delicious cheese plates and hummus, and even a champagne toast for the bride-to-be. The entire staff here though was amazing, gracious and helpful. We all really had a great time. With my meager budget I was unfortunately unable to afford a bottle of any of the delicious selections they gave us but I would definitely recommend going here on a Friday or Saturday night just to do some tasting. It's not a big place and I think it can get pretty busy so the earlier you get there the better. And because I always have to end my reviews with a note about the parking...it's near a beach, off a main street. Nuff said.
This time I got there late and the kitchen was closed, but the food here is really yummy. They have a great selection of wine... and bottles of fantastic wines! I was there Sunday afternoon and heard Kerry Getz and Deanie Wood were playing. Acoustic guitars, flute... and amazing harmonies. Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
