Small place, but big menu as far as the kinds of grilled cheese options to choose from. This place hit the spot for breakfast! Hearty and warm. I swear the English muffins out here are amazing so soft and tasty. They say its the water that makes NY bagels so good, so that must be the same for Newport English muffins. Never had one as good as out here. I'm shocked they weren't even busier when we were there. Do try th... View all feedback.
What Nancy cheung doesn't like about Scratch Kitchen Catering:
Don't go there if you actually want food, especially in the summer season. We phone in for 2 duck confit sandwiches and it was an half hour wait, which was fine. Got there in 30mins, order was not ready. Waited for another 20 minutes, nothing. The woman at the front desk kept saying it was coming, they were putting it on the grill. My family had a your catering for a baby shower today. The food was amazing. Such an awesome job Scratch did. The food was out of this world. I have never been to the restaurant. But I sure will go now. Great job!!!
Home made soups, grilled cheeses ,sandwiches and more. Friendly service.
Small dining area with only a few tables, luckly there was a two top table available when we arrived so we opted to dine in rather than take out. They have a very large, and frankly a bit overwhelming menu. We came for lunch and ordered “Sup, Shorty?” which had braised short ribs and the “Scratch Reuben” which you guessed it, a reuben with slaw. The food was hot, the bread crispy, and the cheese pulls were big. The food was tasty, we felt the Sup, Shorty was missing something, and I liked how it tasted a day later, the bread was softer and easier to eat. The meats on both sandwiches were tender. We had our eyes on a few other menu items we would like to try next time we are in the area.
Amazing sandwiches and soups. Super friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.
The BEST hole-in-the-wall spot i’ve been to! i can tell the locals love this place even though ive only been here a few times. Im not from this place but im super glad i tried this kitchen out. their tomato bisque is divine and the grilled cheeses are out of this WORLD!! the owner is super sweet and kind, we had lovely small talk : highly recommend this place, singing their praises is not enough!
