The location is perfect. It's above a cafe but you don't really notice after it's closed. The views are great. Everything is within walking distance. You do hear the sea lions all night long but it's appropriate for the location. The restaurant is currently closed for business and is up for sale. Thank you for the opportunity; I was part of a farm crew and assisted with various activities on the farm. View all feedback.
Last time I was at the Sail Inn, I just crashed off the boat and wanted a good fresh food. I wasn't disappointed. You make a great Seafood Pad Thai, Halibut finger, shrimp noodle, even a great sandwich. I've eaten 30-40 times here and I've never been disappointed. On your next adventure, take a minute or 30 and relax with a well prepared meal at the Sail Inn.
So far. Service has been good.... besides the appearance of our server (with half the kitchen on her shirt. This must be the owner... the Asian lady . Just finished my burger, the Hawaiian burger. Burger was good. Chowder... not quite like any other I 've had. Smells better than it taste. Fish was definitely fresh. Enjoyed the meal.
I had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, charming, and surprisingly quiet, even for someone like me who is sensitive to noise. The location is excellent, featuring a beautiful balcony with stunning views of the port. It's definitely the best spot in Newport. The kitchen was great—I cooked a lot of delicious meals, but I also indulged in several slices of authentic New York pizza at the café. As a guy from New Jersey, I can say it was really good!
The location is ideal. It's situated above a café, but the noise is hardly noticeable once it closes. The views are fantastic, and everything you need is within walking distance. You can hear the sea lions at night, but it adds to the ambiance. The apartment features an eclectic mix of vintage furniture that seems to have been collected by the owner, and the kitchenware is a hodgepodge of older items that might have a bit of grime on them. The loft-style layout is a charming use of space, and the balcony is lovely. I would definitely return.
Excellent location, right in the center of the tourist area. The rooms are above a café, but it's still relatively quiet. The room was clean. However, the kitchen could use more cooking utensils.
