Great value. Food's not bad. Service is excellent. Homemade pies and pastries up front. Grab one on your way out! We ate here a few times over our 4-week stay. One of the best places to eat in the little town of Newport. Nothing fancy. Just a surprising hidden gem. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

The last year the service at Irving’s Newport has suffered. The service is extremely slow. Be prepared to wait for your food after you order for at least 45 minute. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

If I had the option to give ?zero stars? that is exactly what I would give. My family of 5 decided to come here for dinner and left unbelievably disappointed. My oldest daughter ordered a taco salad and that was the absolute worst part of the entirething. The hamburger looked as if it wasn?t even hamburger. It was so burnt and over cooked and had zero flavor to it. It lookedlike it had been nuked in the microwave for so long, that the cheese that they had put on top of it, was also burnt and we wereable to remove all of the hamburger off the taco salad in one pull. It was gross. She didn?t even up eating that part. She lefthungry. My son had ordered scrambled eggs. They were rubber, flavorless and chewy. They honestly looked strange and he didn?teven want to eat them. My husband and I got onion rings/French fries to share. They were so severely overly-fried. And rest wasdown hill from there. Was going to get desert but used our better judgement based off what was in front of us.. Person who satus was cranky and clearly didn?t want to be there. Wish I would of taken pictures for proof of this catastrophic nightmare. $71dollars. We don?t feel good. Will never go back. Ever. Even if someone else was paying. Going to go pray that We don?t have foodpoisoning now. Burger King would have been better.
