I absolutely love this place! It is the best gluten-free spot I have ever tried for roasted dishes. Their mozzarella sticks are unbelievably delicious. They hand-make gluten-free fish and chips, and their hand-cut carrots are so tasty when roasted. I can't wait to try more of their offerings, like the gluten-free speck mac and cheese. Wished I could give 5 stars. They really put out beautiful plates of food. The mushroom burger D ordered was mushy. My Salmon salad was perfect. Service was slow so he was done w his meal before my new dressing was delivered. I was charged a $1 for it. He got a fresh non-alcoholic Holding Hands on the Beach and I a lemonade. I visited the coast with some friends and decided to try jack sprats when the first place we selected was closed. it's a bit difficult to find if they don't know it's in the hotel. the server we had was new, but he was absolutely wonderful and very helpful with the one child with us. I didn't want a big meal, so I got the sprat rolls. they were absolutely delicious, like the dipping sauce that came with him. our experience was so good, we decided to go back in the next night. they were short as most places are nowadays, working with only 2 servers. our server was amazing and she was very pleasant and helpful, despite all the people they had to cope with. After seeing one of my friends, I will get it the day before, I ordered the mac cheese with whirl rings. comfort food on steroids! it was wonderful. a person in our group had grilled salmon. she felt it was a bit overcooked, but the taste was great. I would definitely jack sprats on my next trip to the newport area!
Gone in a few times always wonderful staff and good food. All the drinks ? so far have been outstanding.
Just had a wonderful wild salmon dinner at Jack Sprats in Newport. The food was great, the view was great, and the waitress was great. Couldn't ask for a nicer dinner.
This place is AMAZING. The staff was awesome!We got about 5 items and they were all delicious. The sprats are made in house, SO unique and tasty. Will be recommending to all my friends going there
Pretty exciting that all of the breaded foods are gluten free. American food. Really fantastic view. Lots of space for seating. Cozy bar. A marina full of boats. There are lots of choices on the menu and good service. Definitely a crowd pleaser restaurant. I had a hamburger ordered it medium it was cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. The seafood bisque soup was good. My husband had broccoli cheddar soup. When you order a sandwich Burger you get a choice of side and they have a lot of sides to choose from.
