A&w - Newport

I would not recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, their credit card machine was down, but that's not their fault. The food is overpriced for the quality. We ordered a double cheeseburger with fries and a root beer float. The burger patties were so thin that they had holes in them, leading us to believe they were steak burgers, but they were not. We were only given 10 fries with our burger which was surprising. The chicken tenders and fries we ordered were cold, even though we were told they had to be fried fresh. Surprisingly, we received almost a full basket of fries with the tenders. When we ordered the Long John Silver 3-piece chicken meal with fries and extra hush puppies, we saw the person handling our food place a hush puppy that had been sitting out onto the plate, along with other hush puppies. Coleslaw, which we did not order, was also mistakenly included on the plate and had to be corrected. The chicken pieces were unevenly cooked, with one piece being burnt. The cashier was friendly, but the floor was extremely slippery, causing me to almost fall twice while wearing tennis shoes.

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! It brought back nostalgic childhood memories.

The first thing that happened was that the young man at the window tried to rush me. Then I was told to go to a parking lot and they would bring my order out to me. I waited for 15 minutes, watched other cars receive their food before me, and then a vehicle behind me got their order. After almost 20 minutes, I went back to the window and asked for a refund since they never brought my food. The girl said, "Oh, I gave your order to the other car." I finally spoke to the manager to get a refund for my order. I've had issues at this restaurant before, but today was the final straw for me.

This place has great food! we had the bacon double cheese burger and pommes. they were extremely fast and friendly. we'll be back.

The wait was long, staff not really friendly, and they gave me crumbs for my hush puppy order. This was my second time here and I am not impressed with this location. The food is not fresh tasting not worth my money.
