The Ship Inn - Newport

Came for bottomless brunch. Our waitress Emilie was so attentive and amazing, she provided us with a bottle on the table as soon as we arrived. The options included Prosecco, cocktails on draft (pornstar martini are yummy and strong! , Gin and Vodka and you can change between them. The food was mediocre but still tasty, especially the pulled pork roll. Definitely worth the £35 you pay for the service and quantity/quality of the drinks!

Early 19th century building. The restaurant ambience is welcoming and warm. I visited with a large group. Everyone had something different and I heard no complaints. I had the fish and chip as this is meal is a perfect barometer to see how well the food is prepared. The food was 5/5. Service 5/5 I would definitely return.

We had a fabulous meal here a month ago so returned again yesterday. Unfortunately it was not such a good experience, only three tables were occupied so very quiet. Waited an hour for our food and when it arrived a number of dishes were missing. The steak was that chewy it was almost unedible. How three leaves of iceberg lettuce can be described as a salad I don't know. Food that was missing turned up 20mins later. All in all a very bad experience and not a sign of an apology when we paid the bill.

Enjoyed a family birthday meal here. Food was good, service was excellent, super friendly and helpful staff. Overall a great atmosphere, highly recommend.
