I have visited several Wetherspoons locations, but none have been as welcoming as this one. The staff were friendly and engaging, and they had some local beers available on tap. The food was also quite good. View all feedback.
What TheOExpress doesn't like about The John Wallace Llinton:
…so while you may get a cheap pint in here, you may also have to swallow any business ethics you have at the same time. That being said, the staff are friendly and it’s close to the station. View all feedback.

The manager and Rhi, the bartender, were quite rude when I asked for help. Their bad attitudes ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable night for me and my friends. I wouldn't return to this restaurant because of them. The bar staff need to be friendlier. Although some of the other staff were lovely.
The Wetherspoons pub was typical but the food was good quality and reasonably priced. Drinks were often included in the meal price. It may not be fine dining, but the food was good and the service was fast. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place.
Have visited the john wallace many times both in the week and on w/ends. i have always found the staff helpful and polite. as regards to the pub the drinks and food are good as regards to other wether spoons and the location near the rail station is ideal. overall a very good wetherspoon pub.
We were in town shopping early, so went in for breakfast, good breakfast menu with healthy options, with unlimited hot drinks, at great value. Quick and efficient service, and table cleared and cleaned regularly.
