Royal Oak - Newport

I dined there last Sunday and had a wonderful experience. The venue is a cozy, traditional pub. The bartender was very helpful and friendly, and the service was exceptional. The food was prepared quickly and was quite delicious. The portion sizes were generous, offering great value for money.

Really good food. I had a lovely lamb curry and my wife, a really nice pair of hake fillets. Both were beautifully cooked The pub was very busy but it took a lille time to get the mess, but this didn't detract from the experience. Very nice and good value. Thanks to the staff, especially the two young waitresses who worked tirelessly up and down from the kitchen.

The broccoli cheese pastries were fantastic, reminiscent of potato leek soup. The dessert, featuring chocolate sponge, vanilla ice cream, and fudge sauce, was exquisite. The staff was friendly as well. I highly recommend this place!

As a local family, we haven't had a bad meal here in years. We visit for Sunday dinner whenever we can, and the cauliflower cheese is simply the best we've ever had. The staff are always welcoming and go above and beyond for us. The cozy atmosphere in the small upper bar is perfect for a quiet evening, while the main bar is livelier and great for families with kids.
