We had chai tea lattes here when we came to the centre to see a Bonsai tree exhibition. The person who served us hadn't made a chai tea latte before and was clearly very nervous about it, but she was polite and friendly. There is a nice view over the river, so somewhere I'd recommend if you don't fancy the chain restaurants in Friar's Walk. View all feedback.
What janecad doesn't like about Cafe At The Riverfront Theatre And Arts Centre:
Visited sat afternoon with my grandson before a show. Cafe was quiet when I ordered my burger and fries but got busier as time passed..and more time passed. After 20 mins+ I asked (politely) a member of staff how much longer my order might be. The coffee was excellent, the food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, and I’ll definitely be returning soon!
I was looking for a peaceful spot for coffee and cake, and I couldn't have made a better choice. The café had a pleasant, quiet atmosphere, and we decided to sit outside. The two ladies serving us were friendly and attentive. My daughter absolutely loved the cake she picked, which is reportedly made locally. I opted for a tea cake and was pleasantly surprised to receive a generous amount of butter without having to ask — a rarity, as cafes often skimp on butter for tea cakes. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit here, and the prices were quite reasonable.
The theater was conveniently accessible, although parking was an issue. The layout of the theater was nice, and the staff were friendly. However, the food options were quite lacking, as the only choices available were coffee and packaged pastries. The concert itself was enjoyable, but there was supposed to be a meet and greet afterward; unfortunately, the headliner, Arthur, never showed up. As a result, we decided to leave before the cleaning crew arrived.
Good service even though it wes a pantomime day, nice coffee good prices and deals on coffee cake etc

She then commented to a colleague about a woman complaining about the wait. As I returned to my table my meal majically turned up. Whoever is the manager, you need to get your staff some customer service training.
