What Sana Saadat doesn't like about Sushi Itto Japanese:
The worst sushi place I’ve ever been. The service was not good. If you’ve been to some good places you’ll know what I mean as soon as you see the food. Meat options are terrible. Excellent service and good food. All you can eat is a must! My favourite little spot.
We are semi regulars here and our server remembered our usual order which made us feel nice. Food is very fresh. We did walk in take out today.
Food was average but service was good. There are better places to eat sushi in Newmarket.
To the review saying to go to cy across the street, that place is garbage. Rude service, complain about tip, dirty oil your dried desserts will taste like seafood. Also way too expensive. You pay for the atmosphere and the stupid robot there, that's it. The food there is garbage, all grumpy Chinese. I much prefer sushi Itto. Holiday pricing is always more. Some days are worse than others but every time I went there it was very good for the price, service and all. Heading there now. Good stuff. For the price, and veriety, 5 stars.
I 'm not a picky eater or very hard reviewer as my reviews show! And I 've been to plenty Asian places before. This was THE worst and I can explain why!1. Price:I called before going to check the prices since today is civic holiday. I was told $23 each by the lady over the phone. (Only one lady was in the restaurant and a couple men. the same lady which I knew by her voice charged us $25.99 each weekend lunch price. When I told her that I called, her response was oh you spoke to some other girl, she is new and she told u wrong, today is holiday! . Okay I 'm not crying for a few bucks but why lie to me? That, I cannot tolerate like just could 've said she made a mistake and that was the actual price!!2. Server:The same lady was our server, I 'm pretty sure she was not feeling well or maybe tired but she was constantly sniffing her dripping nose and coughing loudly. Considering that we sat just by the kitchen and the place was already packed with other tables close to us and having her running around and coughing loud while handing food just made us not wanna eat anymore...3. Service:The tablet was not available for our table so we waited a few mins for her to get one from another table which had a nasty screen. Also, I noticed unlike other buffets I been to, we had to call her every time to put the passcode in for us to send the order. I tried to get the code so we can easily order without bothering her, but she acted like she didn 't hear me. So basically customers had to call her every time for passcode to submit orders!4. Food:We ordered most of the sushi 's and a couple meat options and some fried options. Regular sushi 's were so dry(like salmon, crab, and the rice itself . Other mixed sushi 's were good but most of the rolls were messed up and unrolled. We did not get any wasabi and ginger on the side. The Teriyaki Beef and Enoki beef rolls were absolutely horrible. The meat was literally boiled without seasoning and just topped with Teriyaki sauce. Tasted nothing like watered down plain and cold meat.5. Overall:As a person who goes to a buffet and actually eats everything I 'd spend slightly more and go across the street to Cy for a way better food service.Wish everyone appreciates an honest and detailed review!
