Roman Bistro and Catering - Newmarket

We had just spent the better part of a week on a boat trip and were craving a delicious meal.The arancini siciliana was definitely the best I have tasted, and is served atop a perfectly seasoned rosé sauce - we ordered some to take home with us!I enjoyed the penne alla vodka which was cooked al dente, and my husband had the gnocchi in a rich and creamy gorgonzola sauce.The service was efficient, attentive, and professional. The interior is clean, well-designed and welcoming without being fussy. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

I bought a chicken salad for lunch yesterday and was thoroughly un-impressed. First of all the lady started to make my salad and the woman at the cash told her to take some of it out. The chicken was a pathetic size. It was roughly four tiny pieces the size of my thumb and was dry. Secondly there was only roughly four croutons in total. Thirdly i would equate the amount of bacon bits to a total of a quarter of a teaspoon, they were real however, which was nice. For $12.95, i would have expected a salad that would at least keep me full. Not too impressed to say the least.

I cannot say enough about this delightful family owned restaurant. The food is superb and the establishment is so clean and bright.Everything about this place pleases me. For the evening the tables are dressed with linen tablecloths and napkins.They always have a special and mine was unbelievably good. I chose their salmon.The service was fantastic, friendly but professional and the bread they serve is to die for.I have recommended this restaurant to everyone I know. It is a delightful eating experience.

I met a friend I had not seen in a while. We had a lot to catch up on. Dinner was delicious. Our service was wonderful. Food,drinks and dessert were delivered quickly.Water glasses and coffee cups were refilled readily. We had great service but did not feel rushed. The atmosphere was pleasant. The Decor was Ancient Rome. I felt comfortable in my work clothes but other people were more casually dressed and still others more dressy. A delightful experience.

The arancini is the best I have tasted and a must try.The tomato sauce has love in it and I swear you can taste it.The veal sandwich is fantastic, order it with the homemade peppers if you like spice.When you go it feels like you are at a friends house for by the way the staff treat you, but the decor says you are in an upscale part of Italy.Don't let the storefront outside deter you.#1 Italian restaurant in area.
