What User doesn't like about Cynthia's Chinese Restaurant:
Used to be my fav Chinese food restaurant. Very disappointed with my last meal. Chicken dish was very bland. Shrimps OK but the Pad Thai was sweet! So sweet it should have been served up with ice cream. Whats going on? Get it together guys. View all feedback.
We visit this restaurant at least once a week for the all-you-can-eat option. My children enjoy watching the robotic cat deliver food to our table. However, I have noticed that the prices have increased significantly, similar to other restaurants in the area.
We have been dining at the Centre Street location for several years, but recently, the Newmarket location has been disappointing. The dishes we ordered had mostly broccoli and very little meat. When we ordered six dishes for four adults, most of the dishes were filled with broccoli, peppers, and onions, with very little flavor. It seems like they may have a new chef, but the food didn't meet our expectations.
My wife and I dined at Cynthias years ago and wanted to revisit the restaurant for its food. Unfortunately, our recent experience was not the same. We arrived for lunch at 2:30, as it is an all-you-can-eat establishment. However, we were surprised to learn that lunch service ended at 3:00 and were advised to place our final order immediately. Despite ordering a variety of items from the menu, the food we received had been sitting on a warming table for so long that it was inedible. My sweet and sour soup was cold and had to be microwaved and brought back after a 15-minute wait. Unable to eat the food, we requested the bill, which totaled over $100. When we questioned the amount, we were informed that we had to pay for the uneatable food we did not consume, in addition to the lunch fee. This was a disappointing experience that we will not be returning to in the future.
We went to celebrate my birthday party with some friends. The food was acceptable but the waiter was the worst of my life. After we finished paying the bill of $225, I gave a tip of $10. But the waiter was complaining in front of all my friends that they wanted more money for tip. I felt very embarrassed in front of my friends. The waiter was very rude and greedy!
This time was a Very pleasant experience , we have visited before with a big group and with a small group and as a couple and we did not like the service, it felt as they are giving us an attitude, as they are doing us a favor that they are there. The food was mediocre. this time the service was very friendly and helpful, no attitude, respectfully taking you to your sit and not rolling their eyes every time when they have being called to approve the order or need in service. This time Ingredients were fresh, some dishes were better than others however, better than before, Keep it up Cynthia's Paradise. Thank you, we will be back.
