James and Kate did the most amazing day and BBQ for 70th Birthday party the food was outstanding, bar staff were fantastic

We went 3 generations for Mothers day the best ever meal on mothers day beautiful gifts for all the mothers in the restaurant food was amazing and the flower pot desert 100% edible was the better than you would find in a Michelin stared restaurants James Kate amazing hosts and Sam the most fantastic waiter could not wish for anything better for Mothers day thank you Chequers Caddington

A really lovely busy pub. very well kept ale, straightforward well prepared food and very welcoming and friendly.

We visited a couple of weeks ago and had a really nice time! The staff are su friendly, service was quick and everyone’s food was great. I had some of the vegan snack pots and shared the vegan chocolate orange pudding which was all really tasty! I don’t expect vegan options at pubs so to have choices for starters, mains and desserts is amazing and everything I tried was great value! Hope to visit again soon :

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us as we did not have a reservation place buzzing full. Tempting full menu the snack pots yummy good value. I had the chilli con carve which was delicious. Good choice of wines by the glass. Will definitely return with a reservation! Thank you
